Binance received a license as a provider of digital assets in Spain

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has received a license as a provider of digital asset market services in Spain. Moon Tech Spain division registered by the country’s Central Bank.

Hola Espana! 🇪🇸#Binance has been granted registration as a Virtual Asset Services Provider (VASP) for its Spanish subsidiary by the Bank of Spain.

This will allow Binance to offer crypto asset exchange & custody in Spain in compliance with the central bank’s AML & CTF rules.

The company may offer services throughout Spain in full compliance with the AML and CTF rules . The regulator will also monitor compliance with commercial and professional reputation standards.

The review of the application started on January 28.

Spain became the third jurisdiction in the EU, after France and Italy, where Binance also received approval from local regulators.

“Bug fixed”: Solana

In September 2021, the company’s CEO Changpeng Zhao announced his rejection of the “decentralized” business model. Earlier, the financial regulators of several countries, including Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa and others issued warnings to investors about the exchange.

Recall that in 2022, the authorities of Bahrain, Dubai and the Abu Dhabi financial free zone have approved the platform.

Binance also announced the launch of a regulated exchange in Thailand and announced the opening of a customer service center in Turkey.

Earlier, Zhao announced its intention to get approval from the British FCA .
