The decentralized Rubic exchange was hacked by $ 1.2 million

Rubic Cross-Svopov aggregator has lost more than $ 1.2 million after the hacker gained access to the SEEDFREA from the administrator’s wallet.

According to the developers, the hacked wallet controlled the RBC/BRBC bridge and consumer remunerations.

“We suspect that it was a malicious software that was used to obtain access to private keys,” they said.

The attacker sold about Bored Ape: Slim 34 million RBC and BRBC tokens with a total value of more than $ 1.2 million on the decentralized platforms of Uniswap and Pancakeswap. The hacker’s wallet still contains 205 BNB (over $ 65,000) and 138 ETH (more than $ 214,000).

Rubic developers noted that the exchange continues to work, and all users’ funds are safe.

A few hours after the attack, the RBC price fell by more than 98%. At the time of writing, the token is traded at $ 0.03, according to Coingecko.
