The People’s Court of The Reserve Bank the city of Shanzhao of the province of Guangsi sentenced the Hacker, who stole over 383 ETH from the victim’s phone with Trojan. This is reported by local media.
According to the case materials, in the spring of 2018, the defendant with the help of Trojan got access to the Imtoken wallet on the phone of the victim. During March-April, he made more than 520 conclusions of funds for a total of 383.6 ETH. In the future, the attacker exchanged these coins for 109 458 USDT.
After the hacker’s detention, the police returned all the stolen assets to the victim.
The court sentenced the attacker to 10 years and six months in prison, as well as a fine of 200,000 yuan (over $ 28,000).
